COATING
In the first half of the 19th century coating was mainly only concerned with the application of layers, largely serving a decorative function.
Today, the demand for “functional” surfaces substantially determines the goals of coating. On the grounds of cost, manufacturing components and materials are made with less and less to spare and are pushed to their limits. Surfaces must fulfil requirements, to which the base materials are not equal. Hence, surfaces with functional coatings are provided. Thanks to the invention of an electroplating method for chemical nickel-plating, J. & F. Krüth GmbH is now able, even where equipment has areas difficult to treat, to guarantee reliable surface area solutions.
Each day, analysis is carried out in our own laboratory and documented in order to guarantee the highest quality of our chemical-nickel coatings.
One outstanding advantage of chemical galvanising is the consistent coat thickness on the coated work pieces. Throughout, wherever the part to be coated can be reached by the electrolytes and wherever electrolyte exchange can occur, a coating of an even thickness is created.
REMOVING A COATING
Should it ever be necessary to remove a coating from a piece of equipment, of course that, too, can be done at J. & F. Krüth GmbH. The coating is fully removed without damage to the surface of the base material.
