Ni-On 200 – THE ROBUST PROBLEMSOLVER
Ni-On 200 is the name for a very high quality chemically dispersed nickel coating. With Ni-On 200 very robust, abrasion- and highly corrosion-resistant Ni P coatings are applied. The chemical nickel-coating has undergone a remarkable development in the last two decades. This technology is more than ever in the public eye as a solution to corrosion, blockage and gloss level problems, since materials are being preserved or re-used instead of being thrown away. This is today’s motto.
Technical Data and Characteristics:
- This refined nickel alloy contains 10 – 14 % phosphorus.
- Very high hardness: As a deposit = 450 – 600 HV, when heated to approx. 290 ºC = 650 – 1,000 HV.
- High adhesion: Up to 440 N/mm², depending on the base material.
- Uniform distribution of the coating even on textured surfaces.
- Uniform tolerance ± 2.5 µ, upper limit = 100 µ. Specific weight: approx. 7.9 g/cm³.
- Facilitates restoration to the original condition.
- Melting-point: approx. 890 ºC.
- Excellent chemical endurance. The coatings pass the hydrochloric and the nitric acid tests, adapted for food and medicine.
- Highest corrosion resistance.
- Differences in gloss level, which can, for example, develop during welding, can be corrected without any problems.
- Solderable and weldable.
- Wear values (Taber g / 1,000 cycles: As a deposit = 9 – 10 g loss, when heated to approx. 290 ºC = 4–5 g loss. Due to the very high resistance to abrasive wear in spraying equipment, even glass-fibre reinforced materials can be sprayed without damage to the equipment surface.
- Strain: a) As a deposit = up to 2.2 % without crack formation. b) When heated to approx. 290 ºC = up to 6 %.
- Enhanced equipment life.
- Enables the use of cheaper base materials.
- Arrests substrate wear.
- Your product’s characteristics will improve.
- Advertising advantages due to the enhancement of product quality.
